Freshly prepared food.

On offer - good selection of wines (by the bottle or the glass) and beers (bottled and draught beers, including a guest real ale). The provision of high-quality food and drink is a high priority here.

Sir John Vanbrugh, after whom The Vanbrugh was named, was a supremely talented man in a number of unconnected fields. He was the architect of Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard and contributed to the design of Greenwich Hospital but was also the author of a number of plays that are still performed today, 250 years after his death.
