Built on the site of the Old George Inn in 1837, this stunning late Regency building boasts splendid bay windows with elegant balconies and columns - stepping inside you step back in time.

At ground level the Collingwood Restaurant and Duncan Bar are open to all for drinks, and lunch and dinner while upstairs, the Nelson Banqueting Rooms provide an elegant setting for corporate events and weddings.

In the Collingwood Restaurant fish is the order of the day, order anything from bream and salmon to the renowned whitebait. Nineteenth-century customers could expect their whitebait caught from the Thames and served straight to the table.

Nowadays you can try a variety of twists on the traditional dish, and although it’s no longer caught in the Thames, it is no less fresh or delicious.

The Duncan Bar offers a pub in the most traditional sense of the word with a wide selection of fine ales on tap.
